Filmotor is proud to announce its partnership with Cinemarket, the first ever service to bridge film sales with blockchain technology at the Cannes Film Festival!
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Cinemarket, an innovative online market place for distributors and right holders to trade rights.
From now on our catalog will be available for licensing for registered Cinemarket buyers across multitple rights and territories.
The use of blockchain’s Ethereum technology enables decentralized and safe storage of contracts, licenses and transactions, safe from falsification or alteration.
Jordan Mattos, co-founder and director of content explains what are the benefits of the blockchain technology: “It is a potentially democratizing tool industry players of tomorrow who may not be in a position to budget in attendance at all the yearly markets. We want to make it easier to make deals online in a secure manner that does not rely on trust, but rather on the elegant verification process of the blockchain.”
Our thoughts about the collaboration:
“We are extremely excited to start the new partnership with Cinemarket. We are all facing certain difficulties with regards to traditional distribution. Distributors in Europe seem to have partners they are used to work with and are not so flexible in adjusting to market changes. Cinemarket brings us the possibility to sell our films on more frontiers without physical barriers! We are proud to be the world sales company that is keen on trying the new models.”
Our films are online now; multiple rights and territories available for licensing.
