Victoria, a doc which follows young black American who moved to the desert of California City will be officially distributed through Japanese cinema from 17th July starting from Image Forum (Tokyo, Shibuya) . It will be part of compilation screening with US documentary CRESTONE by Marnie Ellen Hertzler which depicts a soundcloud rappers who moved to the desert of Crestone, Colorado. The compilation is programmed under the title UTOPIA/DYSTOPIA. This program was screened limitedly in Osaka on 15th of May. After successful screening and Q&A with director Isabelle Tollenaere words spread and one of the most profound independent theaters in Tokyo, Image Forum raised their hand to screen the film(s).
Image Forum was established in 1977 and has been screening artistic films from around the world and also running the annual Image Forum Festival since 1987. The film(s) will be distributed nation-wide by SUNNY FILM (documentary distributor of Sergei Loznitsa, Ulrich Seidl, and Thomas Heise etc.)
