As a portrait photographer, Martin Schoeller encounters almost all facets of US society: from presidents to homeless people in Hollywood. And no matter how famous or unknown, for him everyone is in the same light and receives equal attention. We All Bleed Red accompanies Martin Schoeller on his personal photo projects with people who tell of the fractures, but also the possibilities of a torn society.

DIRECTOR BIO

Josephine Links (East Berlin, 1983). After extended stays abroad in England and Japan, she completed a master’s degree in European Ethnology and Film Studies in Berlin and then studied directing at the ‘Konrad Wolf’ University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 2013 she graduated with the feature length documentary “Am Anfang” and has since worked as a freelance director. Her first book as an author was published by BELTZ Verlag (“Stilles Herz”). With her husband, the cinematographer Michel Links, and their two sons, she now lives and works in Wendland, Germany.
